Alexandria High School Eating strong to Play Strong with the Sydney Kings
Charity Bounces Eat Strong Play Strong Program visited Alexandria High school for a day of healthy eating and fun on the basketball court.
The day started with Celebrity Chef Sean Connelly cooking up some healthy lunches while Tom Garlepp and Jeromie Hill shared their knowledge about their life and NBL Basketball careers.
Tom Garlepp imparted some of his wisdom to do with his success “In each moment you have a choice to make to make the most out of it. If you want your next moment to be better you need to make the most of what you have right now.”
After the children had finished fueled their bodies with sweet and savory nutritious meals which included a cheesy spinach casadias and hazelnut berry casadias, the Sydney Kings Players taught the students basketball drills.
Over 40 students hit the basketball courts for an afternoon of fun healthy movement as a reward of their high levels of school attendance. Jeromie Hill shared his views on education, “I love learning, you can’t put a price on learning, good decisions guide you to know what is wrong or right. There lays true value.”
Thank you for a great day Alexandria High School we look forward to visiting again soon!
