Alice Springs session and community visits

Join the Bounce team in Alice Springs with NBL Hall of Fame player Cal Bruton and Coach Evelyn Adu. We will be running a resileincy basketball session at Alice Springs Basketball Association on Saturday the 20th August from 9-11am.  The Legend Cal Bruton and Coach Evelyn will be running community sessions over the prior few days and connecting with some of the local community youth before heading into Alice Springs on the Saturday for the open basketball resileincy session. Everyone is welcome to join us for the session thanks to the support of Macquarie Sports.

We are excited to get back to Central Australia again after such a long break due to the impact of Covid-19 and cant wait to catch up with some old and new friends. All our Bounce programs include both on and off court skills to build resileincy that young people can take with them for life. We focus on leadership and resiliency skills, preparing young people for not only the game of basketball but also the bigger game of life, preparing them for the challenges they’ll face in their lives and careers.
The session details are below:
Time: 9-11am
Venue: Alice Springs Basketball Stadium -5 Traeger Ave, The Gap NT

About Charity Bounce

Charity Bounce is a not for profit organisation that exists to build resiliency and positive job futures for young people at -risk (12-24), using innovation through basketball to create ‘out of reach’ opportunities that inspire and motivate change. With a focus on Indigenous and culturally diverse communities, including newly arrived refugees, we aim to move young people toward a more positive future through the development of sports, education and employment focused social programs. The programs are delivered in partnership with sporting organisations, engaging professional athletes alongside our youth workers to motivate and inspire participants.
