BOUNCE ON AT WOOLLOOMOOLIVIN
Charity Bounce got their Bounce on at the Woolloomoolivin Festival yesterday with the local community. The Christmas Block Party in the ‘Loo’ had a great turnout where we delivered a Stand Tall program on the court to support the Woolloomooloo community, with our ambassadors Chef Sean Connolly & Eban Hyams (former NBL Rookie of the year), plus the Sydney Uni Basketball Club players combining basketball and healthy eating on the day.
We were thrilled to be supporting the Woolloomooloo community and even had Celebrity Chef Sean Connolly work his own magic on the court for those who decided to head downtown.
A BIG thank you to Rosano Martinez, the organiser extraordinaire for getting us involved on the day, which had local community & service providers joining to share food, sport, music & dance with friends & family. Showcasing on the day were hip hop artists, dance groups, DJ’s & sports stars. The event focuses on connecting youth and families with local community service providers within a creative and supportive environment, all while celebrating socio economically diverse inner city communities.

A big thanks to Russell Crowe who took an interest in the condition of the local basketball court and took it upon himself to get some nets up ready for the Stand Tall program on the day. Legend.

Stand Tall action on the court.

Stand Tall players listening to coach Eban Hyams instructions on how to dominate on the court.

The program was just one part in the Woolloomoolivin Festival celebrating diversity within the inner city.
