Bounce Partners with Curry Brand

Bounce Partners with Curry Brand

What an amazing day of celebrating basketball culture at Prahran, Melbourne last Saturday 15th January to mark the launch of the seven-part footwear collection that brings the spirit of Sesame Street’s iconic Muppets to the basketball court.

Curry Brand powered by Under Armour Australia has proudly partnered with Charity Bounce to raise funds that will enable us to continue our work helping shape the next generation and bring more support towards disadvantaged communities.

It was a beautiful sunny day with live music by DJ Smilez, live art by Lynch Melbourne , displays of the new Curry Brand sneakers and celebrity guests that participated in a 3-point competition to help raise money for Charity Bounce featuring 2x-NBA Champion and Australian Professional Basketball Player Andrew Bogut, UFC Featherweight Champion of the World Alex Volkanovski, NBL Analyst and Footlocker Creative Director Corey “Chomicide” Williams, NRL Player Eloni Vunakece, Professional Netball Player Carla Dziwoki, TV Presenter Karen Ledbury and Bounce’s Global Ambassador Tracy Williams.

We also witnessed some epic shooters making awesome buckets, but a special congratulations is well-deserved to Zoe Zwerling for winning the #ShootLikeSteph 3-Point competition!

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that came out to enjoy the day and for helping raise money and awareness for Charity Bounce. We were able to raise $10,000 which will go straight to our crucial basketball engagement, mentoring and employment programs and education pathways.

Together we continue to “Change the Game for Good” ?

About Charity Bounce

Charity Bounce is a not for profit organisation that exists to build resiliency and positive job futures for young people at -risk (12-24), using innovation through basketball to create ‘out of reach’ opportunities that inspire and motivate change. With a focus on Indigenous and culturally diverse communities, including newly arrived refugees, we aim to move young people toward a more positive future through the development of sports, education and employment focused social programs. The programs are delivered in partnership with sporting organisations, engaging professional athletes alongside our youth workers to motivate and inspire participants.

We have a 100% public donation model where private donors cover 100% of the management and administration expenses of Charity Bounce. These private donors invest into our long-term mission, our ability to scale as an organisation, and our commitment to using 100% of public donations for direct program delivery.
