Join us for a transformative community basketball session featuring former Harlem Globetrotter, Tracy Williams on Friday June 30.
Free open session to young people aged 12 – 19 years.
Session 1
Location: Warragul Leisure Centre (21 Burke St, Warragul, VIC 3820)
Date & Time: Friday, 30 June | 9am – 12pm
Session 2
Location: Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium (Ashby St, Traralgon VIC 3844)
Date & Time: Friday, 30 June | 2pm – 5pm
Led by experienced coaches and mentors, this session will focus not only on basketball skills but also on fostering resiliency among the participants. Through a series of activities, we aim to empower our youth with the tools and mindset to overcome challenges both on and off the court.
Community Basketball Session key activities:
- Resiliency Skills Development with former Harlem Globetrotter Tracy William
This programs include both on and off court activities including basketball skills & drills using social emotional learning research related to the development of resiliency skills for young people. The program focuses on the development of resiliency skills to provide a strong foundation for young people to successfully transition through life.
- Athlete Role Model Participation
The program includes program attendance by professional athletes with skills segments and Q&A sessions to engage with participants across a range of topics. The programs provide young people with access to the professional players.
