Macquarie Clinic in Alice Springs
On Saturday the 20th of August, we held a resiliency basketball session at Alice Springs Basketball Association ran by NBL Hall of Famer Cal Bruton and one of our youth coaches Evelyn Adu.
After a long break due to the impact of Covid-19, it was great to be back to catch up with old and new friends as well as connecting with some of the local community youth.
Thank you to Macquarie Group for making this possible and to everyone that participated during our wonderful trip around Central Australia.
We will definitely be back soon for more community projects and to connect more with the youth.
About Charity Bounce
Charity Bounce is a not for profit organisation that exists to build resiliency and positive job futures for young people at -risk (12-24), using innovation through basketball to create ‘out of reach’ opportunities that inspire and motivate change. With a focus on Indigenous and culturally diverse communities, including newly arrived refugees, we aim to move young people toward a more positive future through the development of sports, education and employment focused social programs. The programs are delivered in partnership with sporting organisations, engaging professional athletes alongside our youth workers to motivate and inspire participants.
