TELSTRA TEAM ON COURT TO SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE
The Commercial Management team from Telstra jumped on the basketball court yesterday with other colleagues for a bit of team building and collaboration whilst at the same time supporting the Charity Bounce Stand Tall Employability Skills programs across Sydney.
By participating in the Charity Bounce Certified corporate program, the team experienced the dynamic coaching of Cal Bruton, NBL Hall of Famer, who delivers the Stand Tall strength based programs. The Programs are designed to develop life and leadership skills, using basketball as a means of engagement using social emotional learning research related to the development of employability skills for young people.
Heather Tropman, Commercial Director at Telstra and a Board member of Charity Bounce said, “Today, we brought together our Commercial Management teams from interstate, some who hadn’t been able to meet face to face yet. After strategy sessions, the Charity Bounce Stand Tall program was a fun way to build relationships across our team that will definitely help us know each other’s strengths back in the office. It is immediately obvious why young people respond to this encouraging program. One of my team members told me that this program was a career highlight as far as team events go.”
Heather added, “I am excited to help Charity Bounce extend their reach in High Schools across Sydney by personally setting up and supporting the Bounce Campaign.”
